Weekly Trends: Andy Williams Dead at 48, We Came As Romans Go Spanish with Ladrones, Sick Of It All Keep Going for Lou

By J. Tanner Garcia · September 2026

Rough week. We lost a man who did two impossible jobs at once, a metalcore band finally let Spanish into the room, and a hardcore family decided to keep the lights on for their brother.

Andy Williams dies at 48: Every Time I Die's rhythm guitarist and AEW's The Butcher went out in the ring

Andy Williams is gone and I am still not okay with it. Saturday night, September 5, at an Enjoy Wrestling show at Mr. Small's Theatre in Millvale, Pennsylvania, he finished his tag match and collapsed. Doctors on the card worked him until the ambulance came. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner confirmed his death the next morning. He was 48. Sit with this part. He started Every Time I Die in 1998, played on every release the band ever put out, and did not miss a single live show until 2020. Then he turned around and became The Butcher in AEW, seven years of it. He did not pick one dream and settle. He did both, full speed, until his body called it. That is not a tragedy to gawk at. That is a man who never coasted a day. Flowers for the grind, Andy.

We Came As Romans cut "Culture Wound" in Spanish: Ladrones' Zyxmyr walks in and the thing hits different

On September 6 We Came As Romans dropped a re-cut of "Culture Wound" with the lyrics loosely translated into Spanish and Ladrones frontman Zyxmyr guesting on it. It is part of a run of collaborative reworks from last year's ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED. This is not a gimmick grab. Michigan metalcore leaning toward Guadalajara and nobody loses a thing. Then the band played Warped Tour in Mexico City this weekend to close the loop. Ladrones are having a year. Heavy music has no borders. Somebody finally acted like it.

Sick Of It All keep the band alive: Pete Koller says it was Lou's last wish

Pete Koller posted a video today. His brother Lou, gone since July 24th after esophageal cancer, told the band to keep going before he went. Pete says they are working on how. No plan yet, no promises. Just a brother trying to honor one. NYHC forever.

Semana cabrona.

ALL IS BEAUTIFUL...BECAUSE WE'RE DOOMED.
